This presentation features a comparison of two case studies from Cameroon and Malaysia. Through media discourse analysis, the two cases aims to shed light on:
・Persistent legitimising framings surrounding plantations and concessions
・Discursive resistance through mobilising actors and arguments
・Congruence, disagreement and polarisation in argumentation and coalitions
・Outcomes and the power relations these reflect
